So a little about me! I was born in Kirkcaldy, Fife, in 1972 and at the age of 3 moved north with my family. I have always felt very lucky to have grown up in the Highlands, initially Ross-shire and latterly Caithness, where I called home until the age of 17. This is absolutely where my love and appreciation for Scotlands varied landscapes and natural beauty grew.

I have always been interested in drawing & painting & after a short spell of studying art in Aberdeen life took me in another wonderful direction. Now in my late 40's I have found a new love & passion for drawing once more.

Working from sketchbooks & photographs I enjoy experimenting with drawing in pencil, ink & painting using mixed media.

 

I have always been drawn to water, loch's & the sea & have been a keen wild swimmer for a number of years so have more recently tried to capture moments, snapshots, in and around & underwater in a collection of acrylic paintings.

I also enjoy detailed simple studies of various "Beasts n Birds", uncluttered, simple and with the entire focus being on the character of the animal itself.
